The design of the Museum’s logo integrates the architectural style of the Museum’s Administrative and Collection Building, as well as the Exhibition and Educational Building, with the English acronym of the National Museum of Taiwanese History (NMTH). The logo’s vertical integration and its expansive impression convey the concept of the endless passing-on of Taiwan’s history.
The golden color of the logo has the old-fashioned, honest characteristic of Taiwan’s traditional colors. However, the logo’s form uses modern and simple geometric shapes, to create a fusion of these two opposites. The four columns within the logo represent the four main functions of the NMTH: research, collection, exhibition and public service.
